I never saw Harmon play in person, but as a life long die-hard Twins fan, you certainly know all about him. Mauer close encounter

Posted on Feb 10, 2011

A few weeks ago we had the Minnesota Twins annual Winter Caravan stop through Northfield.  At work, we’re a broadcast affiliate and get a visit each year.  We were surprised when we learned that this years tour included MVP super-star homeboy Joe Mauer!  They went right to the middle school auditorium where 750 screaming fans were waiting.  After a Q&A session they stopped back at the KYMN studios for an interview.  Fox Sports North was also trailing them for a live webcast.

What an incredible experience for a life long Twins fan.  I sat with Joe as he recorded some radio liners.  I asked if I could take a pic with him (below).  He’s a very humble and nice guy.  Just like everyone said.
