Crazy wicked Christmas pop-up books

By Tim Freeland - Posted on 30 November 2008

The first time I saw these 2 pop-up books in Lori's Christmas collection, I couldn't believe it.  It just seems impossible that paper can be altered in such a way as to work together like this, let alone be able to fold up neatly into a book over and over. So, I just had to film it for ya-all to watch. Sorry in advance about the music.   Check it out.

Robert Sabuda's Christmas books are incredible. But it's not hard to make simpler pop-up cards and books yourself. I've been teaching the subject for 25 years, and have two books out on the subject: "The Pocket Paper Engineer, How to Make Pop-Ups step-by-step" if you're interested in trying some on your own. I've taught kids, parents, teachers, and seniors, and they all love it. Carol Barton
