I started taking lessons in 4th grade from Bob Swanson in Northfield. I switched to David Burnell, piano performance professor at St Olaf my freshman year in high school. When I was a senior, I quit my job at the Super America gas station and taught piano lessons as my job. I continued doing this on and off for years.
